Styroflex

Styroflex 2G66 is a styrene-butadiene based transparent, elastic copolymer. It is excellent for film extrusion and injection moulding due to its high thermal stability and processing characteristics. Styroflex is ideal as an additive to improve toughness and impact resistance of polystyrene moulded articles with general improvements in stress and crack resistance at low temperatures.

When used in the right proportion it increases the toughness to stiffness ratio of impact resistant polystyrene moulded articles. It is also generally used to increase compatibility between styrenes and polyolefins, enabling blends of Polyethene and Polystyrene. It lends itself easily to injection moulding, profile extrusion and film extrusion.
