Polyacetal (POM)

Description

Lupital is a specifically developed copolymer type acetal resin (also known as polyoxymethylene-POM, or polyformaldehyde) for use in precision machinery, OA, electronics and automobiles. It has high strength modulus and is a light weight substitute for metals with high resistance to fatigue and impact. It is vulnerable to acids and alkalies. Lupital is a copolymer-type acetal resin produced with a proprietary manufacturing process. Used in a wide range of industries, Lupital is ideal for precision machinery, automobile, OA and electronics applications

Applications

POM is ideal for injection moulded and extrusion moulded components like interlocking systems, gear wheels, fasteners and in the automotive as well as electronic industry. It can also be machined like metal to produce wear resistant small engineering parts.
