Terluran® ABS Resins

Terluran is Styrolution’s proprietary range of ABS moulding resins manufactured in ultra-modern, automated plants for consistent batch-to-batch quality.

Features of ABS general Purpose Grades

Terluran® ABS resins are specifically designed to provide a very broad physical property range with very good processing characteristics. The materials have exceptionally light natural colour with excellent colour stability and colour consistency. Terluran ABS resins offer the following performance characteristics: low pigment effect on mechanical properties, high gloss, quality consistency, processing versatility and high heat grades. These products are produced globally with the same technology and with the same end product specifications.

GP-22 Terluran GP-22 is an easy flowing grade of ABS for injection moulding with high resistance to impact and heat deflection. View Properties
GP-35 Terluran GP-35 is a very high flow grade of ABS for injection moulding with good resistance to impact and heat deflection. View Properties

Features of ABS High Heat Grades:

Terluran HH is a modified form of ABS meeting stringent needs of thermally stressed components. ABS can be coated easily and lends itself easily to chromium plating, ideal for decorative articles in consumer, automobile and engineering sectors. ABS has high mechanical strength, is tough and durable and retains dimensional stability besides possessing good electrical insulation properties.

HH-106 Terluran HH-106 is an injection molding ABS grade with high resistance to heat deformation and impact. View Properties
HH-112 Terluran HH-112 is an injection molding grade of ABS with very high heat resistance. View Properties

Styroflex

Styroflex 2G66 is a styrene-butadiene based transparent, elastic copolymer. It is excellent for film extrusion and injection moulding due to its high thermal stability and processing characteristics. Styroflex is ideal as an additive to improve toughness and impact resistance of polystyrene moulded articles with general improvements in stress and crack resistance at low temperatures. When used in the right proportion it increases the toughness to stiffness ratio of impact resistant polystyrene moulded articles. It is also generally used to increase compatibility between styrenes and polyolefins, enabling blends of Polyethene and Polystyrene. It lends itself easily to injection moulding, profile extrusion and film extrusion.

Features

  • Extremely tough
  • High permeability to oxygen
  • Highly elastic and highly resilient
  • Highly transparent
  • Very easy to process with good thermal stability
  • High elongation at bream and elastic recovery
  • Good adhesion to other plastics
