Polycarbonate (PC) in Clear, Coloured and Compounded Grades

Description

Polycarbonate or PC belongs to the polyester family of thermoplastic resins. Polycarbonate has high impact strength, high transparency, toughness and dimensional stability. It is available in clear and opaque grades and in UV stabilized as well as mould release grades. With suitable fillers, it is used in Flame Retardant applications. It is very durable and scratch resistance, making it deal for eyewear lenses, automotive headlight and tail light glass, better than acrylic, more expensive but with better properties as regards transparency as compared to glass.
